THE STEREOTYPES
Stereotypes are characteristics ascribed to groups of people involving gender, race, national origin and other factors. For example, someone who meets a another guy who come from a particular country and finds him to be quiet and reserved may spread the word that all citizens from the country in question are quiet and reserved.
How are stereotypes constructed in the media?
The media still influences our lives but they are full of stereotypes.
- For example, in most of films or TV series , the Arab is the thief, villain or terrorist.
2. Now we are going to talk about another stereotype the house wife .
At the beginning of the human race, women were considered inferior to men. 3000 years later in some countries this stereotype still exists like in golf country. My first example is the television series "Desperate housewife" where the women don't work mostly and must and should take care of children.
thank you for reading my analysis
